Ceiling Doctor uses ProCoat acoustical ceiling restoration system which contributes to earning LEED Building Credits:

Credit 1.1 Building Reuse

Maintain Existing Walls, Floors and Roof

Credit 3.1 & 3.2 Resource Reuse

Intrinsic with the idea of resurfacing the existing ceiling is the benefit of recycling of materials, thereby reducing the demand for "virgin materials" and dramatically reducing solid waste disposal in landfills.

Credit 4.2 Low Emitting Materials

Paints and Coating - ProCoat's Acoustical Tile and Ceiling Coating, ProCoustic, has an extremely low VOC level that is well within the range that satisfies the Green Seal Standard GS-II requirements

Q1: What are the advantages of Ceiling Doctor vs. ceiling replacement?

  • No solid waste disposal
  • Approximately 80% less cost to you
  • Increases brightness which decreases energy consumption since lower wattage bulbs can be used due to the greater light reflectance of Sav-A-Ceiling Acoustical Coating (see independent test summary)
  • Increases acoustical value
  • Increases fire rating
  • No disruption in business, since it is applied overnight and no furniture, racks, etc. have to be moved
  • We recoat grid, returns, diffusers, speaker grills etc

Q2: What are the advantages of using Ceiling Doctor vs. paint?

  • Tiles will not stick to ceiling grid
  • Will not ruin acoustical value
  • The color will not fade or yellow
  • Can be tinted to any color
  • Non-toxic

Q3: How much can I save with Ceiling Doctor?

  • Coating is approximately 1/5 the total cost of New Tile Replacement
  • Takes approximately 1/3 the Time of New Tile Replacement
  • Can be completed during off-hours, when the facility is vacated
  • Resurfaces and finishes the Entire Ceiling System in place (i.e. grid, air diffusers, vents, and speaker plates)
  • Will not leave the tiles stuck to the t-bar system
